International Erasmus+ Staff Week

University of SS. Cyril and Methodius and its Faculty of Mass Media Communication celebrates the 20th anniversary in 2017. We are using this opportunity to announce the 1st International Erasmus+ Staff Week at Faculty of Mass Media Communication UCM in Trnava for teaching staff from our Erasmus+ partner institutions in April 2017 (24th – 28th). This is an opportunity for the professors to give lectures at our faculty under Erasmus+ Teaching Staff Mobility.

Faculty of Mass Media Communication is a fundamental and the most important faculty of the University of SS. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava established in 1997. It also has a specific position in the Slovak Republic – in particular – as a unique, largest and most complex media school in the country. It is considered to be the most desirable school among students of media studies and demand for graduates of this faculty ranks the school among ten most prestigious faculties in Slovakia.

Lecturers from universities are welcome to propose lectures in the field of our cooperation. According to the Erasmus+ programme rules, visiting lecturers are supposed to give 8 hours of lectures within the framework of regular courses offered by the host faculty (teaching language is English).

Study programs at the faculty:

  • mass media communication, (bachelor, master, PhD.),
  • marketing communication, (bachelor, master, PhD.),
  • applied media studies, (bachelor, master),
  • media relations (in English language, bachelor),
  • theory of game studies (bachelor).

In addition to the guest lectures, the programme will include a welcome session, social and cultural activities and possibility to participate in international scientific conference “Megatrends and Media 2017” which will take place on 25th – 26th April 2017 in pleasant environment of the Smolenice Castle.

Location: Trnava lies in the center of Trnava region (with 66 000 inhabitants it is 7th  largest city in Slovakia). The city is situated 50 km far from the capital Bratislava, being conected by a highway; and 100 km  from the Austrian airport Schwechat, close to Vienna.

  • 15th February 2017 – deadline for registration of participants International Erasmus+ Staff Week and sending application,
  • 15th March 2017 – deadline for sending Erasmus+ Mobility Agreement or Individual Teaching Programme (ITP).
